Dear SBPS Parents and Guardians,

What a wonderful week it has been for our St. Benedict Prep community. Our annual Baby & Kids Garage Sale was a tremendous success, and I am deeply grateful to the many volunteers, donors, and committee members whose generosity and hard work made it possible. This event is a beautiful example of one of our core beliefs: that when we come together in service to one another, we strengthen our community and create opportunities for our students to flourish. The proceeds from the sale will support teacher classroom grants, directly enriching the learning experiences of our Bengals. Thank you for living out the spirit of stewardship, generosity, and community that make St. Benedict Prep such a special place.

Tomorrow, we look forward to another beloved school tradition: our annual Home & School Association FUN RUN. This year's Boosterthon theme, Global Kitchen, highlights the character traits of patience, generosity, creativity, reliability, and adaptability. These virtues align beautifully with our mission to form young people of strong character, deep faith, and compassionate leadership who use their God-given gifts to serve others.

The FUN RUN is much more than a fundraiser. It is a celebration of school spirit, community, and the partnership that exists between our families, faculty, staff, and students. Thanks to your incredible generosity, we have already exceeded our fundraising goal! Because of your support, the Home & School Association will be able to continue investing in initiatives that strengthen our school community, including teacher appreciation programs, parent education opportunities, community-building events, classroom enhancements such as maps, globes, and rugs, and campus improvement projects, including updates to the faculty lounge.

Parents, grandparents, and family members are invited to join us throughout the day to cheer on our students. The atmosphere is always filled with excitement, encouragement, and fellowship, and we hope you can be part of this joyful celebration of our Bengal community.

FUN RUN Schedule

• 8:45-9:30 a.m. – PreK

• 9:45-10:45 a.m. – Kindergarten & 1st Grade

• 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – 2nd & 3rd Grade

• 12:15-1:15 p.m. – 4th & 5th Grade

• 1:40-2:40 p.m. – Middle School Color Run

On Sunday, all fall student-athletes are invited to attend the 10:00 a.m. Mass for a special blessing. During the Mass, our student athletes will receive a blessing, as well as our catechists and teachers will also be recognized for their service and dedication to sharing the faith with our young people. We hope many school families will join us as we gather in prayer and thanksgiving. And as an added bonus, it is also Donut Sunday! Be sure to stop by after Mass for fellowship and a homemade sweet treat.

I would also like to express my appreciation to the many students and families who have supported our updated dress code expectations this year. Thanks to your partnership, our students are presenting themselves with pride, dignity, and respect. By wearing their uniforms well, students communicate that they are ready to learn, contribute, and represent our school community with excellence. I know that these expectations require cooperation from both students and parents, and I am grateful for your support. Our Bengals look great, and more importantly, they are learning habits of responsibility and self-respect that will serve them well in the future. This has been a goal for me and the upper school staff for the past several years. So thank you to all for supporting this effort!

Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude and offer my prayers and best wishes to Mrs. Kathy Moore, who retires tomorrow after many years of faithful service to St. Benedict High School and St. Benedict Preparatory School. Mrs. Moore’s dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to our community have touched countless students, families, and colleagues. We are profoundly grateful for the gifts she has shared with our school and pray that God richly blesses her in this next chapter of life. Please join me in giving thanks for Mrs. Moore and the many ways she has strengthened our community throughout the years.

As always, thank you for your partnership in our shared mission. Together, we continue to build a faith-filled community where every child is known, valued, challenged, and loved, and where students are inspired to grow in wisdom, faith, character, and service.
