After School Programs Hosted by Compass Health Center
Compass Health Center for children ages 5-13.
Young Child After School IOP is a group-based program designed for 5-10 year olds. This group will help children learn coping skills to manage difficult emotions & challenging situations. From practicing social skills, to working within a group, to managing friendships and practicing problem-solving skills, this afterschool program helps children to learn to navigate the social world around them. Caregivers of children in program are encouraged to attend a variety of parent support groups throughout the week to learn strategies to support their child. This program currently runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3-5pm. In the coming months, this program will expand to 5 days a week.
This summer, Compass' Creative Arts Afternoon IOP will return for its second summer! This program is for children ages 5-13 and is designed to help children communicate their experiences and feelings creatively, while reducing symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. Children will engage in therapies such as art therapy, drama therapy, dance movement therapy and yoga. This program will run for 8 weeks this summer (June 5th- August 11th) from 12-3pm. This program is also offered to adolescents up through age 18.
