LINK’s mission has always centered on advancing educational equity by supporting students who have been historically underrepresented in higher education, about 90% Black students. It’s encouraged to watch this short, informational video about the history and review admissions criteria below. If you feel that your scholar and family align you are welcome to apply. Since founding, LINK has remained committed to serving families most impacted by systemic barriers to opportunity.
LINK’s Scholars come from all over Chicagoland, specifically over 60 zip codes and receive free holistic support needed to thrive to, through, and beyond college. This includes mentoring, summer/Saturday programming, and income-based scholarships ($500-$4,500) to private high schools (60% % of our students attend private, 40% attend public, charter, magnet, etc. schools).
