Sign Up For Ms. Gemo's Summer Garden Club for Middle School Students

Ms. Gemo is seeking interested middle school students and recent 8th grade grads to help assist taking care of the memorial gardens this summer. 

We will meet on most Thursdays during the summer from 9AM to 10:30AM.There are a few different days/times as well. Students may sign up for the days that they are available. Students may sign up for one or all of the dates.

We will meet by the garden just on Bell Ave near the Ackerman Center. Students should dress in clothes that can get dirty and bring a good pair of garden gloves and a water bottle. Students will learn how to take care of summer vegetables, perennials and annuals. We will do some weeding, mulching, planting, watering, pruning and harvesting. It will be work.

Interested students should use this link to sign up. This is a great way for students to serve the parish and school, learn some things about plants and just have a good time. Consistent participation may also be used as a Confirmation service project (depending on Father Ryan.) Recent grads may be able to count these days as service hours depending on the respective high school service policy.
