Halloween Costume Guidelines 2025
In just a few short weeks, we will be celebrating the fun day of Halloween on October 31. On this day, we do allow all students in grades PK-8 to wear a costume to school if they’d like. We have a number of activities planned for all grade levels thanks to our Home and School Association and Room Reps. More information will be coming regarding the day’s schedule. We do plan to have a preschool costume parade and a K-5 costume parade.
Please note for everyone’s safety, we ask parents to follow these guidelines for costumes:
No face paint
No masks
No weapons (fake, real, etc.)
Costumes should not be overly scary or gruesome; costumes should not undermine any expectations for decorum; costumes should not make fun of any race, culture, gender, etc. If you are not sure, please reach out to your child’s head of school.
Students costumes should not be overly “mature/sexy” or skimpy - modesty is always a good rule to follow in a Catholic School
Students should be able to function independently without teacher/peer assistance (for going to the bathroom, recess, sitting in a desk, eating lunch, etc.)
Students should wear costumes that would allow them to move safely about the building. For instance, the blow up costumes are fun, but they cannot be inflated all day. Students would need to get out of the building safely in an emergency
