FOR Lil’ Bengal Beats

Lil’ Bengal Beats is a music-based class for infants and toddlers designed for children and their parents to explore rhythm, movement, and early social interaction together. Led by our Early Childhood Music Specialist, this program creates a joyful, welcoming environment where families can bond, learn, and experience our school community firsthand.  

  • Lil’ Bengal Beats is free of charge and meets once a week for half an hour in the Early Childhood music room. Class sizes are limited.

for Bengal Cubs

A gentle, supportive first step into the classroom environment with parent participation.  Children experience open play, circle time, playground fun, arts & crafts, music and movement in our Gross Motor room and Wonder Lab!

  • Bengal Cubs has a registration fee and meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11am. There are 20 to 22 playgroup gatherings in each seasonal session. Class sizes are limited.

for Preschool (PK3 & PK4) and Kindergarten

  • Schedule a tour or attend an Open House event.

  • Submit the online application teacher and administrator recommendation forms, academic records, and the $125 application fee. The online application can be found in the Admissions drop-down and takes place in FACTS.

  • If a student has been diagnosed with a learning disability and/or requires special classroom accommodations, parents or guardians need to provide a copy of the student evaluation/IEP/504 plan to be reviewed by the SBPS Inclusion Team before the admissions process can continue.

  • Interview with Head of School.

  • Family will be notified of acceptance or denial once the admissions process is complete.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Preschool: Must be 3 years old by September 1 and fully potty-trained. Child must independently and successfully use the toilet in order to attend school.

  • Kindergarten: Must be 5 years old by September 1.

for Grades 1-7

  • Schedule a tour or attend an Open House event.

  • Submit the online application teacher and administrator recommendation forms, academic records, and the $125 application fee. The online application can be found in the Admissions drop-down and takes place in FACTS.

  • If a student has been diagnosed with a learning disability and/or requires special classroom accommodations, parents or guardians need to provide a copy of the student evaluation/IEP/504 plan to be reviewed by the SBPS Inclusion Team before the admissions process can continue.

  • Interview with Head of School

  • When school is in session, prospective student spends a “Shadow Day” at SBPS (required for grades 3-5; strongly encouraged for grades 1 & 2.

  • Family will be notified of acceptance or denial once the admissions process is complete.
