No longer "helicopter parents" there are "snowplow" parents!

Here’s an interesting read for parents from the New York Times. At SBPS, one of the 7 C’s we try to build is CONFIDENCE. “Snowplow” parent tactics might undermine a child’s ability to learn to cope, problem solve and have self-confidence.

“Snowplow parents have it backward,” Ms. Lythcott-Haims said: “The point is to prepare the kid for the road, instead of preparing the road for the kid.”
