Mrs. Jackie Stancin '02 and Mr. Ed Clement '62 Among the Nominees to be Inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame!


Congratulations to our ES art teacher, Mrs. Jackie Stancin ‘02 and our dedicated 4th grade classroom volunteer, Mr. Ed Clement ES ‘58/HS ‘62! They join seven other former faculty and alumni being inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame.

This year saw a large number of nominees and the committee concurred with the proposals and the following are being inducted as well at the Annual Alumni Hall of Fame Dinner on Saturday, February 2nd, after the 5 p.m. Mass in our HS Cafeteria.

Bob Carlson, (outstanding former faculty and athletic director)

+John Marquette '56, (accomplished educator / theater director) 1938-2018

William Conger '56, (accomplished artist / studio owner)

Michael Teolis '71, (outstanding former faculty, choral director, recently retired band instructor at the Latin School of Chicago)

Maureen Weber Taft '99 (accomplished athlete)

Alumni couple, Jacqualyn Stevenson Stancin '02 (art teacher in our grade school) and Ed Stancin '01 (Chicago Police Officer),

Sylvester Pydych '14 (state long jump finalist, model college graduate who finds time to give back to his high school)

We invite our families to join us for the dinner provided by La Villa Restaurant. Tickets are $20 which includes an Italian dinner buffet, coffee and sweet table. Cash bar will be available.

The Hall of Fame honors alumni and friends of St. Benedict whose lives exemplify to an extraordinary degree the values and standards which St. Benedict Preparatory School represents.

 Standards for induction into the Alumni Hall of Fame include:

§ The individual is a distinguished alum who graduated at least five years ago, or a friend who had demonstrated a strong relationship to St. Benedict for at least five years;

§ The individual has made outstanding personal contributions in his or her profession, community or volunteer activities;

§ The individual has a personal lifestyle that reflects the mission of St. Benedict Preparatory School.  He or she must exemplify the highest ethical, moral and spiritual qualities.
