High School Readiness Resources/Requesting Teacher Recommendations

High School Readiness Recources

Preparing for high school can be an exciting, enlightening experience for students, parents and guardians. It can also be an anxious and sometimes overwhelming experience. As you and your child navigate the process of considering and acting upon high school choices, St. Benedict Preparatory School will continue to support, guide and counsel our families. Our goal: students and families understand all of their high school options, and are well equipped to find the best fit for them – academically and culturally.

Navigating Through the High School Process Powerpoint

The following is a powerpoint presentation I presented at the High School Fair Tuesday night on Navigating Through the High School Process. It gives a good overview of what to expect and prepare for. To access, click HERE.

Regarding Requesting Teacher Recommendations

As we embark on high school and scholarship application season, your child may need a recommendation letter(s) from a teacher, staff member or administrator. Please make sure that you allow for at least a two week (preferably 3 week) window with any requests. I have attached a document that you can either copy and fill out electronically or print out and fill out, when making requests. This will help support teachers in writing the most specific letter for your child. For the document, click HERE.
