Keep Christ in Christmas Art Contest Begins Now

The Knights of Columbus offers multiple activities that promote Christmas and the season of Advent in their proper context. These programs are centered on the example of the Holy Family and the Nativity of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The new Keep Christ in Christmas program brings all related activities together under one umbrella. It encourages councils to compel their neighbors to shift from a preoccupation with materialism to the light of Christ and the spirit of giving. Activities include whatever efforts best suit the parish and community of a particular council and do not need to originate from the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council.

The St. Benedict Knights of Columbus would like to invite the children of St. Benedict to take part in their Keep Christ in Christmas poster contest for all boys and girls ages 5 through 14. By engaging the talents of our youth, we hope they will come to a deeper understanding of the true meaning of Christmas, and that their art work will bring others to remember Christ in Christmas. The contest will be conducted locally with winning entries advancing through district/regional and jurisdictional competitions to the international level. The winning entries will serve as the basis for a series of international Keep Christ in Christmas posters, with creative credit going to the artists. Please submit all entries to either the Religious Education Office, Elementary School Office, Secondary School Office, the Rectory, or to an usher at Mass by December 9th.
