The Abraham Lincoln Award:

Illinois' High School Readers' Choice Award

All high school students are invited to participate in reading and nominating the best Abraham Lincoln Nominated Book. Students who read 4 or more books may have their name entered to win a Kindle!

The Abraham Lincoln Award is sponsored by the Illinois School Library Media Association (ISLMA) and is designed to encourage high school students to read for personal satisfaction and become familiar with authors of young adult and adult books. The award is named for Abraham Lincoln, one of Illinois' most famous residents and himself an avid reader and noted author.

Click here for a summary of each book.  Please be sure to stop by the school library to check out these books!

Students can sign up to participate in the voting with Mrs. Susina or Ms. Roberts in the library.  Students need to read 4 books in order to be eligible to vote by March.  Those who do participate will be invited to a "Breakfast with Abe," where the winner will be announced and you will get a preview of next year's list!
