Inclusion Resources and Information

Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we cannot see.

Gen- Ed/Homeroom Teacher and Inclusion Facilitator Partnerships

We are all in it for what is best for each student. There is not a one-size fits all approach to learning, so sometimes the Inclusion Facilitator will present a strategy for the Gen Ed teacher to use with a specific strategy to use for a particular class or student. These strategies are not merely suggestions; they are not optional. It is an expectation that faculty make a reasonable effort to implement these ideas. If you need assistance, please ask! That is what we are here for.

Please note that the IF’s have been instructed to do the following in order to keep the Heads of School in the loop.

Step One - The IF will communicate to the Gen Ed/Homeroom teacher if a strategy needs to be implemented. She will expect it to be reasonably implemented. If the Gen Ed teacher implements the strategy, then great! If not, then we will go to step 2 below.

Step Two - The IF will write a follow up email to the Gen ed Teacher and then if a second occurrence happens cc admin on the second email, after the 2nd time cc admin on all emails. If the Heads of School need to get involved to support the efforts, then we can.

Outside Providers/Tutors

IMPORTANT: If you have a student receiving outside therapies or services at St. Benedict, please have them email Kristi at kenriquez@stbenedict. Each outside provider needs to complete a background check, get finger printed through Accurate Biometrics, and complete virtus training. Please email Kristi with any questions.
