Dear SBPS Parents and Friends:

Happy Summer!  Happy Independence Day! I pray that you and your family have found a little extra time to relax and have some fun this summer. We are near the mid-point of summer break and are happy to send this brief update to all of our school families.

A lot of work is going on with the facilities this summer. We are moving classrooms, adding fresh paint in some spaces, updating the Elementary STEM Lab as well as a few other spaces which we will be happy to announce in August. Tuckpointing the Elementary Building along Leavitt street is continuing and we are keeping our fingers crossed that our new windows along Leavitt will also be completed (thanks to all those who support the Forward in Our Faith Campaign). We are also in the middle of planning for the coming school year, and have made several improvements to programming which we will announce in August as well.

We hope that you and your family planning on attending this year's BENFEST in just a couple weeks on July 20th, 21st and 22nd. Ms. Waldron and I will be bartending at one of the Beer Tents on Sunday, so be sure to stop by and say hello! For those of you new to St. Ben's, know that BenFest is THE FAMILY FRIENDLY street fest to experience:  good food, fun for the kiddos and great entertainment for adults. It's a great way to check in with your St. Ben's friends and make some new ones. Find out more about BenFest below.

Attention:  Incoming K, 2, 6th and 12th graders have some medical/dental/physical examination needs to complete before they attend school in August. Be sure to check out the respective Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle School and High School pages to find out the information and access forms. Make your doctor appointments now. Don't wait until the last minute.

Congrats to our teachers who are getting married this summer: Hannah Stapleton, Roxy Cirincionce, Cathryn Jenkins and Haley Baker on their respective weddings! Please keep them and their new husbands in your prayers.

For more information, see the rest of the BUZZ below.

Let's have a great JULY 2018!

Peace - Ms. Rachel Gemo, Head of Parish School
