Meet Our 2016-2017 Secondary School SOCIAL STUDIES Department!
Maggie Deady is beginning her third year at St. Benedict Preparatory School. She attended the University of Dayton, receiving a degree in secondary social studies education with minors in history and theater. After years of teaching students theology she is looking forward to the move into social studies. Ms. Deady is returning to her first love, history, and can’t wait to inspire a new generation of historians!
Dan Gallup received his bachelor degree in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University, a Masters in Teaching (MAT) from National Louis University. He holds state endorsements in middle school science and social studies for grades 6-12. As a lifelong Chicagoan, he enjoys all things Chicago, is a self proclaimed history and politics buff, and is a Die-Hard Cubs fan - down to his dogs: Wrigley and Ivy. He and his family enjoy taking history-themed summer road trips. He is extremely excited to begin his teaching career at St. Benedict Prep.
David McQuade earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and English from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas. This year will be his ninth year in education and his fifth year at St. Benedict. The most exciting part of his job is seeing students working together to create great things. He enjoys spending time with his family, running, and learning about the history of Chicago.
