Meet Our 2016-2017 Secondary School Mathematics Department!
Proficiency in mathematics is fundamental to thriving in a technologically driven and connected global society. Students at St. Benedict Preparatory School are prepared for the rigors and demands of college mathematics curriculum with courses that challenge them to be versatile problem solvers; formulate hypothesis and defend original thoughts; communicate their mathematical concepts to real world situations; and utilize current technologies to facilitate efficient achievement of their goals.
Mary Deletioglu is embarking on her seventh year teaching at Benedict Prep. She is the Chair of the Math Department and teaches all things mathematical. She earned her BA and M.ED from DePaul University. She is a life-long Chicagoan, loves long walks on Florida beaches, and recently became a certified Zumba instructor.
Doug Rosskamm earned a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Duke University and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University. In 2011, after a twenty-nine year executive career at Abbott Laboratories, he retired to pursue his math certification credentials at Northeastern Illinois University. In 2014, Mr. Rosskamm accomplished his long term goal when he was hired to teach secondary school math at St. Benedict Prep. His desire is to help students understand logical approaches to problem solving.
Zora Voynovich is a lifelong Chicagoan who loves embracing and exploring the city's rich diversity. A graduate of DePaul University, she holds her bachelor's degree in Mathematics and History and her Masters of Education in Teaching and Learning Mathematics. This will be her third year teaching secondary mathematics at St. Benedict. She looks forward to an exciting year fostering a love of learning and community with her students.
